Indian restaurant in Banbury thanks its customers as it prepares to close its doors for the final time

Salkaara Banbury on Broad Street has announced that it will close permanently this Sunday (February 2) at 9.30pm.
Since opening in October 2022, the restaurant, which specialised in food from the Kerala and southern Indian regions, was a popular addition to Banbury’s hospitality sector.

Hide AdIn a post to social media yesterday (January 28), the restaurant said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Banbury restaurant.


“We want to express our sincere gratitude to all of our loyal customers who have supported us over the years. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served you delicious food and created memorable dining experiences.
“We understand that this news may come as a surprise, and we sincerely apologise for not being able to announce this sooner. We've truly enjoyed our time in Banbury. We hope you’ve enjoyed us too.
“Thank you again for your understanding and continued support. Hopefully, you'll dine, enjoy a takeaway or delivery, one more time before we say goodbye.”

Hide AdThe restaurant chain, which originated in Cardiff, has confirmed that both restaurants in the Welsh capital as well as its premises in Bristol, Chepstow and Bridgend will remain open.
Salkaara also confirmed that a new owner will be taking over the Banbury premises under a new name following a refurbishment of the restaurant.
