Bloomsbury publishing released the paperback version of Tim Smedley's Clearing the Air: The Beginning and the End of Air Pollution last week on Thursday July 23.
The Covid-19 lockdown led to big drops in air pollution across the UK’s major cities and Tim Smedley asks readers what kind of world do they want to live in post lockdown.

Hide AdClearing the Air is a 'how to' guide for creating a better, cleaner world, with clean air and zero carbon.
According to the World Health Organisation, air pollution kills an estimated 7 million people worldwide every year, and nine out of 10 people breathe air containing high levels of pollutants.
Tim tells the full story of air pollution: what it is, which pollutants are harmful, where they come from and – most importantly – what people can do about them.
Tim uncovers the hope that remains for the planet – he tells inspiring stories of how cities like Mexico City have drastically reduced air pollution, meets people trying to make lasting change, and outlines blueprints to help readers take the problem into their own hands and improve the situation for themselves, their family, and their local community.
