Primary school pupils invited to get creative for Banbury MPs Christmas card design competition
Banbury MP Sean Woodcock has invited primary school children to get creative and enter his Christmas card competition, with the winning designs set to be sent out across the community.
Mr Woodcock has invited children aged between four and 11 from across the Banbury constituency to enter his annual Christmas card competition.
The winning design will be printed on the MP’s Christmas cards, and the winning designer will be invited to receive an award in person and take home a copy of their card.
This year, Mr Woodcock has asked children to design their card around the theme: ‘What does Christmas in Banbury and North Oxfordshire look like to you?’

He has encouraged participants to use bright colours and avoid three-dimensional elements to ensure their designs can be printed clearly.
Mr Woodcock said: “I look forward to receiving entries from children across the constituency, showcasing what makes Christmas so special in our local area.
“It could reflect the Christmas lights in Banbury town centre, or the snow falling in Charlbury. I encourage every local primary school-aged child to take part and be creative.”
The deadline for entries is Friday, November 20, with the winner is set to be announced on Tuesday, December 1.
Entries can be emailed as a scanned copy to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Christmas Card Competition’, or posted to:
