Banbury mum launches inclusive greeting card company for families involved with children’s social care
A Banbury mum has launched a new inclusive greeting card company after discovering a lack of cards celebrating the experiences of families involved in adoption, foster care and children’s social care.
A mother by adoption, Rosanna Driver set up the Olivia’s Little Joys online store this week (Tuesday, September 1) after finding there was a significant lack of cards available for families like her own.
She said: “Before starting our own journey to adoption, I didn’t know that there was an issue with – or lack of – greetings cards for people involved in children’s social care, and I certainly didn’t realise that it was such a huge problem.
“I first learnt this myself when our daughter, Olivia, first came home to us in September 2025, when I tried to find a thank you card for her foster family that referenced the enormity of what they do day in, day out, and that truly showed our appreciation for them.

“Then came Christmas and wanting to find a card with a subtle difference in language and the recognition of the unique relationship between them and our child.
“Because of this, I am dedicated to making greetings cards more inclusive for unique and under-served families like mine, and am passionate about recognising every step of the journey.”
The company is named Olivia’s Little Joys after Rosanna and her husband daughter, whom they took care of in 2025.
Olivia’s Little Joys’ first collection of 12 greeting cards has been produced in collaboration with illustrator and artist Hope Rookyard.

The collection features three versions of a “Happy Familyversary” card for gay, lesbian and straight couples, as well as three versions of a “Welcome to the family” card depicting gay, lesbian and straight families.
It also features a congratulations card with a bunny jumping over hurdles, signifying the hurdles many families have to overcome during the adoption or foster care process.
Rosanna added: “The range of products aim to recognise, celebrate and commemorate every moment and milestone these children, families and professionals may face on their own unique journey by using slight language differences or by incorporating illustrations that subtly reference the highs and lows and challenges a looked after child, foster carer, adoptive family, kinship family, birth parent or social worker may face.”
