Banbury community hero appointed chair of Oxfordshire Football Association’s inclusion action group
A Banbury community leader has been appointed chair of the inclusion action group at Oxfordshire Football Association.
Yasmin Kaduji, who co-founded the Banbury Community Fridge and helps organise community events at Banbury Madni Masjid Mosque, was appointed to the role last month.
In her role at the mosque, Yasmin oversees education, adult learning, health and wellbeing programmes, as well as site operations and partnerships with other organisations.
She has also helped deliver sports activity programmes through Banbury PlayZones, which formed part of Cherwell District Council’s 2024-28 strategic plan.

As chair of Oxfordshire FA’s Inclusion Action Group, Yasmin will help improve inclusion and accessibility in football across the county.
She will support the organisation’s equality, diversity and inclusion ambassadors, focusing on growing disability and women’s football and engaging with communities from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
Oxfordshire FA hope her experience in community engagement and programmes will help support the association’s efforts to make football more accessible and encourage participation among underrepresented groups.
