Popular Banbury business named as new front-of-shirt sponsor for Easington Sports U18

The Banbury-based Chipex has been announced as the new front-of-shirt sponsor for Easington Sports Under-18.

Chipex, a booming automotive paint repair system specialist, will see its logo proudly worn on the front of the youth football team’s home shirt for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

With Chipex’s support, it’s hoped Easington U18 can achieve great success. And not only on the pitch, but also off it with so many excellent opportunities for young and local footballers.

Jamie Rimmer, Easington U18s head coach, said: “We’re really proud to have a global brand like Chipex sponsoring our team shirts.

“It shows belief in our team and gives our players real pride in wearing the shirt. As coach, I’m truly grateful for the support and proud to have Chipex as part of the Easington Sports family.”

Based on the Thorpe Way Industrial Estate in Banbury, Chipex is a rapidly growing brand with a global sales platform and a big expansion to come later this year, bringing additional employment to the area.

Established in 2009, Chipex has developed a unique paint system to keep cars looking their best, with over 150,000 colours available in their touch-up products.

The company works directly with a host of major automotive brands and vehicle manufacturers, while it has helped more than one million customers to date.

Despite achieving global recognition, the business is determined to remain grounded to its roots in Banbury and the surrounding areas.

“As a local yet global business, we’re very keen to support sport in our local community,” said Johnny Graham, the managing director at Chipex.

“The benefits of sport and being part of a team are huge and can be a massive factor in helping mental health and fitness, especially among young men, who often really benefit from being part of such a community.

“We love the spirit among the Easington Sports FC Under-18s and are proud to be their sponsor for the current season.”

Competing in the Midland Junior Premier League, Easington U18 are currently 21st out of 47 teams in the table.

Recently, on October 24, Easington U18 achieved a remarkable 9-1 victory over Wednesfield Community U18.
