Brackley Town have been forced to postpone their next two matches after a positive Covid-19 test within their camp.

The Saints had been due to take on Bradford (Park Avenue) at St James Park on Saturday before heading to AFC Fylde on Tuesday night.

However, both games will now have to be rearranged after an unnamed member of the Brackley squad returned a positive test.

A statement from the club said: “The fixtures against Bradford (Park Avenue) on Saturday, January 16 and AFC Fylde on Tuesday, January 19 have been postponed due to a positive Covid test at Brackley.

“These games will be re-arranged and new dates announced.

“The club and National League medical protocols are being followed and those affected at the club are in self-isolation until 20 January.

“We wish the person who has tested positive a speedy recovery and for everyone involved to stay well.”

Brackley are currently unbeaten in their last eight Vanarama National League North matches, a run that has moved them into the play-off places in recent weeks.

But their game at Hereford last weekend was also called off due to a positive Covid-19 test in their opponents’ squad.
