Travellers moved onto land adjacent to Hanwell Fields on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Police said they visited the site three times yesterday.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "The only action we’ve taken is to issue a code of conduct to the travellers, which was done on Tuesday, as it’s on private land so it’s up to the landowner to evict them if they wish."
