Former boxing champion Frank Bruno treated for pneumonia at Horton
The former British world heavyweight champion was on his way back from a professional speaking gig in Guiseley, near Leeds, when he was taken to the hospital yesterday evening (Sunday, March 3).
His agent, Dave Davies, told the Banbury Guardian he was treated respectfully before leaving today (Monday) to rest.

Hide Ad“It came as a bit of a shock to us but Frank has got a very strong pain threshold and being the ultimate professional he wanted to do the gig,” he said.
“I spoke to the compere who said he still did the laugh and the speaking.”
Mr Davies said Bruno, 57, was feeling unwell on Saturday but refused to cancel his appointments in Bristol and Guiseley.
On Sunday morning, he was still not feeling well but insisted on going to Leeds, where he did the event, but on the condition he went to hospital afterwards, which turned out to the Horton.

Hide AdHundreds of people have been offering their best wishes in response to a tweet on Bruno’s account by Mr Davies explaining the situation.
Former England footballer Carlton Cole tweeted: “Get well soon Champ,” along with others such as actor Tom Davies and another former British boxing champion, Ashley Theophane.
