Brackley Town striker - the brother of Newcastle United star - confirms summer transfer exit

Popular centre-forward Connor Hall has announced his departure from Brackley Town following two and a half seasons in red and white.

The 28-year-old, signed permanently from Solihull Moors in July 2024 following an initial six-month loan spell, will not be making the drop back down the divisions.

Brackley’s 2025/26 season recently came to an end in highly disappointing fashion, with the Saints relegated back to the National League North following their first-ever campaign in the English fifth tier.

Head coach Andy Whing, who has only won one of his 16 games in charge to date, recently confirmed there would be a major squad overhaul at Brackley this summer.

Hall, formerly of Farnborough, Chorley and Woking, is one of the first to go upon the expiry of his contract.

Posting to X (formerly Twitter), Hall said: “Been a pleasure and a real shame it’s had to end. Met some fantastic people along the way, thanks for all your support.”

Danny Newton, who has had three spells at Brackley including two in the last three years, replied: “What a quality player, but an even better person. One of the best.”

It awaits to be seen where Hall will head next, but he can look back on his time at Brackley with great fondness.

In 108 appearances, the forward scored 37 goals and contributed nine assists. Starts have been few and far between this term, but Hall still managed to score half a dozen in the National League.

Hall, the older brother of Newcastle United and England star Lewis Hall, will offer experience and goals wherever he ends up.
