'Exciting future' - Brackley Town boss Andy Whing hints at major Saints summer overhaul
Some big shake-ups are coming at Brackley Town this summer, with head coach Andy Whing indicating a squad overhaul is on the horizon.
The Saints will be back in the National League North next season after a disappointing end to their first-ever campaign in the National League.

Whing, the successor to the highly popular Gavin Cowan, has won just one of his 16 matches in charge so far, ultimately leading to Brackley facing the drop.
That only victory came against Aldershot Town in the penultimate game, when the Saints’ relegation had already been confirmed.
Whing’s side were then dispatched 3-0 by third-placed Carlisle United on the final day – a misery compiler.
“They walked through us and scored,” Whing admitted to @BrackleyTownFC.
“They then had some set pieces… they haven’t really done anything at all today and have scored three goals.
“That’s the difference, they’ve got a really good team, quality off the bench. They had that extra bit of quality to score the goals.”
Rather remarkably, 52 fans made the 500-mile round trip on Saturday. Whing couldn’t be more appreciative of the support.
“Unbelievable effort,” Whing pointed out. “There was fancy dress in there as well! To the penguin in there, a Mexican… they were absolutely magnificent.
“We wanted to give them a performance. I think we did. Performance-wise it was good, we created chances but the quality in that final bit… for us and them, it was chalk and cheese.
“They were clinical and ruthless in both boxes and we weren’t. That’s what we need to recruit for and be better in next season.”
On the summer ahead, Whing added: “It’s massive. I see some really good things but I see some not so good things. We want to be exciting, we want to play football for a start.
“We haven’t really got the star that we’ve wanted because of personnel. We want to be aggressive and expansive, we want to be quick. We want to be athletic.
“It’s a big summer ahead to try and implement that. What I’m really excited about is to rebuild now and hopefully it will be an exciting future for the football club.”
