Goals in each half from Craig Robinson and Aron Dosanjh earned Sports all three Division One West points to complete the double over Milton in Saturday’s clash at Addison Road.

Sports had the better of the opening exchanges, Dosanjh’s header was cleared off the line, Adil Hussain fired over and Robinson’s header landed on top of the net.

Sports finally broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Robinson was on hand to slam the ball home from close range after Andrew Stidder was foiled following a cross from Hussain.

Durrell Livous had a goal-bound header blocked from a Lewis Travers’ corner as Sports began to dominate the contest.

After the restart Tom Smith’s low cross found Hussain whose close range effort was saved by Craig Griffiths. But from Travers’ ensuing corner Dosanjh managed to force the ball over the line.

Sports had chances to increase their advantage before Adam Bruce raced clear to beat Jack Goode and reduce the arrears.

Goals change games and Milton were back in it. But Sports went close when Stidder was denied by Griffiths from Josh Rose’s cross.

Boosted by the goal, Milton looked for the equaliser and it nearly came in spectacular fashion when Will Horton saw his 30 yard screamer come back off the bar. Milton pressed in the closing stages and Chris Bond headed just over from a corner.
