Puritans need more steel if they are to get back on track
The Puritans slipped to a third successive Evo-Stik Southern League defeat on Tuesday.
Ford saw his side lose 2-0 in Tuesday’s premier division clash at Slough Town in their first ever competitive game on an artificial pitch.

Hide AdWith Ricky Johnson not being risked through injury, club captain Andy Gunn returned in central defence and produced a sterling display. But two second half goals from Guy Hollis and James Dobson sent United home empty-handed.
Ford said: “We’re playing at a well-supported team in a great facility, and a club which has ambitions of playing at Conference level.
“But Jack Harding has had to make very few saves in the 90 minutes yet we’ve conceded two goals from set-pieces again. There is no way we should have lost this game.
“They had some very good players who have played at a higher level but we’ve lost again because we can’t deal with set-pieces.”
