Work of Labour councillor helps Banbury footpath get resurfaced
Residents Joy Ashby and Angie Ramm have lived in a row of cottages behind Broughton Road for over 40 years and said the track running between Gillett Close and Broughton Road had always been a pot-holed and often muddy track.
The surface was completed in the week commencing February 26.

Mrs Ramm added: “It has always been a popular cut-through and is used by many parents with children attending Harriers Academy and Queensway School as well as students from Banbury School.
Councillor Dhesi said: “Working with Cherwell District Council we’ve come up with a brilliant solution which has not cost the earth – it’s a gravel comprising granite and quartzite which needs to be rained on and walked on to provide a solid and durable surface for pedestrians for years to come.”
