Firefighters respond to vehicle fire in Chipping Norton

The Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to a vehicle fire yesterday, Tuesday August 25, in the London Road in Chipping Norton.

Firefighters with one fire engine from the Hook Norton Fire Station responded around 4.10pm to a pickup truck on fire yesterday.

On arrival firefighters were faced with a well developed fire within the vehicle. The crew worked quickly to extinguish the fire and make the vehicle safe.

The crew of firefighters used a breathing apparatus and hose reels to put out fire.

Firefighters from the Hook Norton Fire Station were also called to assist colleagues at the Charlbury Fire Station at a factory in Enstone where a fire had developed underground last week on August 20.
