Banburyshire residents warned - the last chance to register to vote in the December 12 General Election is at 11.59pm tonight.

Those wishing to take part in the General Election have only until tonight at 11.59pm to register to vote.

Applications for a postal vote close at 5pm today (Tuesday).

December 4 is the deadline to apply for a proxy vote. To be eligible to vote you must be 18+ on Election Day. You must live at a UK address (or if living abroad, must be a British citizen who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years).

Voters must be on the electoral register and it is necessary to re-register if you have moved, or changed your name.
