Care home scores top marks in survey with residents

Staff and residents at Chacombe Park Care Home in Banbury are celebrating after it performed strongly in a nationwide survey. The home was given an overall performance rating score of 963, out of 1,000, following a survey of residents.

The Your Care Rating survey gives residents a voice, putting their care at the heart of understanding more about how well care homes perform and more than 20,000 residents in 963 care homes across the UK took part.

Each care home was given an overall score based on resident feedback across four themes - staff and care, home comforts, choice and having a say, and quality of life, meaning residents highly rate the standard of care they receive.

David Groves, general manager at Chacombe Park, said: “We are glad that residents value the care they receive at Chacombe Park. We are so pleased with our scores, which show that life for our residents is happy and fulfilling. Every care home resident should be able to speak up about their care and we ensure both residents and relatives have the opportunity to voice their opinions. My door is always open and we are committed to raising standards and being transparent.”
