Funding bid by aspiring actor

An aspiring young actor from Middleton Cheney has been accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Now Megan Lapper, 17, just has to raise the money to take up her place in September.

The prestigious academy has launched hundreds of well-known names into the industry, including Anne Hathaway and Kirk Douglas.

Megan, who is about to take her A-levels at Chenderit School, is saving hard from her part-time jobs at FatFace and the Gateway, but needs to raise an eye-popping £40,000 for tuition, accommodation and health insurance.
