Two litter-picking were held in Banbury as part of Keep Britain Tidy's '˜Great British Spring Clean last weekend.

On Saturday March 4 there was a two hour litter pick starting at the Royal Voluntary Service Cornhill Centre in Castle Street.

The following day Banbury Neighbourhood Action Group held a litter-pick in the Orchard Way area.

Overall some 20 bags of rubbish were collected making the town a little bit tidier.

Steve Kilsby chair of Banbury Neighbourhood Action Group said: “Thank you very much to everyone who joined in.

“Our streets are that bit cleaner and safer as a result.

“Thanks too to Cherwell District Council for their support.”
