The Banbury-based rock duet Lake Acacia have released new single with a deeply personal message.

Lake Acacia is a melodic rock band made up of Joe Homer who plays synths and drums as well as performs vocals and Tim Groethe who also performs vocals and plays the bass and synths.

The new single “I will never break” released Sunday August 15 is the band’s heaviest and most energetic track to date and comes with a deeply personal message from the band.

Tim Groethe said: “The song is about being taken advantage of by somebody you thought you were close to.

"You were always there when they needed you, no questions asked. However, when you needed the same they wouldn’t ever give you the time of day. It also touches on the idea of realising the situation for what it really is and walking away from it.

"It’s something I know every one of us have experienced so for this reason, I feel a lot of people can relate to this song. The story behind the lyrics called for a more fierce and in your face approach. At least for us it did."

Lake Acacia have impressed music fans with their electronic tinged alternative rock music since 2017 and has featured numerous times on BBC introducing over the following years.

The band will bring their lively on stage performance to one of the town’s music venues Also Known As (AKA) on Friday September 16, it will be Lake Acacia’s first time performing at the venue since 2018.
