Adderbury Tennis Club follow victory with joyous conkers competition

The first winter mixed match of the season resulted in a brilliant 8-0 victory for Adderbury, against Tysoe A in the Banbury League Div 2.

The ladies, Wendy and Anna, won in a double bagel – 6-0, 6-0. As did the men, Bertie and Richard.

First mixed, Wendy and Bertie, won 6-1, 6-0, with Anna and Richard at 2nd mixed achieving the same result.

It's an amazing result, dropping only two games the whole match.

The annual Conkers Competition at the club was open to all ages and, as in previous years, was well attended.

The bar was open and pizzas available to all, so everyone was happy! The final was a family affair, with dad Dave Kidd just about beating his daughter Daria in the final to win the coveted title!
