Middleton Cheney Village Hall will soon come alive with the music of Dolly Parton as the Lynden Players bring the smash-hit Broadway show, 9 to 5: The Musical to the venue.

Based on the hit movie in the 1980’s, the show follows three female office workers, Violet, Doralee and Judy, as they take their revenge on their sexist, overbearing male boss.

The show features a wide variety of classic Dolly songs, including Backwoods Barbie, Shine Like the Sun - and of course, the catchy country anthem 9 to 5.

Director Sharon Green said: “I’ve had an absolute blast with this show. The cast has worked so hard to bring this outrageously funny and vibrant show to life, and I can’t wait for audiences to see it.

“It’s a show that you just can’t help tapping your toes and singing along to.”

The show runs from Thursday May 5 until Saturday May 7, with evening performances at 7.30pm on all nights and a matinee performance on Saturday at 2pm. For more information and to book tickets, visit www.lyndenplayers.wordpress.com or call the box office on 07849 062739.
