It’s not even been 24 hours since TRNSMT 2025 saw Snow Patrol close out this year’s festival, and yet people are already speculating who ‘could’ be performing in 2026.
It must have been quite the festival this year if people are already planning for another round at Glasgow Green in around 12 months’ time - as Declan McConville shared his thoughts on this year’s performances from Fontaines D.C. and Inhaler.
But given that a number of acts are set to release new works within the run-up to next year’s event, some of the usual names have been surfacing on social media, while some other names seem a little more plausible, if we’re being (brutally) honest.
From the grapevines of TikTok, X, Reddit, and Blue Sky, we’ve picked out some of our favourite artists that have been suggested, coupled with a look at what upcoming album releases are taking place, to add to the speculation who ‘could’ perform at TRNSMT 2026 – as we wait for tickets to go on pre-sale hopefully a little later this week.

21. Eminem
One of the most globally renowned and impactful hip-hop artists of all time, an Eminem headline slot would be an explosive event. His rapid-fire delivery, raw lyricism, and immense catalogue of anthems would ignite Glasgow Green, creating an unforgettable atmosphere - much like when he performed at T in the Park back in 2010. | Leon Bennett/Getty Images

22. Kendrick Lamar
One of the most acclaimed and influential artists of his generation, Kendrick Lamar's presence would be an undeniable heavyweight for TRNSMT 2026. From his intricate lyricism to his powerful stage presence, a headline set from K-Dot would be a masterclass in hip-hop and artistry, drawing in a monumental crowd. | David Hepburn

23. Madonna
The Queen of Pop, an icon who has consistently redefined music, fashion, and performance for decades. A speculative appearance by Madonna at TRNSMT 2026 would be a legendary moment, a chance to witness pop history with a catalogue of hits that span generations. It would be a production unlike any other seen at the festival. | Haydn West
