Aspiring authors in Chipping Norton will have the exciting opportunity to receive expert guidance when a best-selling children’s writer arrives in town.
London-based Tamsyn Murray will run a 10 week creative writing course at the Jaffe and Neale Book shop in Chippy, starting from Wednesday, September 16.
Best known for penning the Stunt Bunny series, Tamsyn has written ten books for children including her most recent publication Completely Cassidy: Star Reporter.
She has also dedicated her time to teaching the Writing for Children programme at the City University in London over the last two years.
The course in Chipping Norton will cover all the essentials of writing for young people, as well as practicalities such as how to approach an editor.
The participants will receive practical feedback on their writing, along with advice from other industry experts.
Tamsyn said: “I’m delighted to be bringing my Writing for Children course to the Cotswolds this autumn. Since publishing my first children’s book in 2010 I’ve learned so much about the publishing industry, while also honing my writing technique.
“I can’t wait to share my knowledge and experience with budding local authors and hope to set some on the road to a whole new, very rewarding career.”
