The North Oxfordshire Riding Club (NORC) is holding its 33rd annual show on Sunday September 4, and it’s promising a fantastic day out for the whole family.

While many traditional local horse shows have disappeared over the years, the NORC Show has become increasingly popular.

This year’s show will take place at Newlands Farm, Bloxham, by kind permission of Smiths of Bloxham, from 9.30am.

There will be two show jumping rings to include Clear Round, two showing rings to include Working Hunters, and a dressage ring.

Chairman Sue Gibb said: “This year we have decided to extend our show and add a children’s ring, and we are very keen to encourage young horse riders. This ring will include gymkhana games and a fancy dress class. There also

“Our aim is to make sure that no child competing will go home without a rosette.

There will also be stalls, caterers, a photographer and a bar for thirsty parents.
