Adderbury’s popular musical theatre group, Voices Across Time (VaT) will be marking 100 years since the end of the Great War with a brand new show.
‘Till The Boys Come Home’ will be performed three times over two days at the Adderbury Institute later this month.
The immersive musical tells the story of Timmy Price who enlists into the armed forces after tricking the recruitment officer into believing he was older than his 15 years.
During his years fighting in the Great War both his regiment and family at home use music and memories to maintain camaraderie and bravery whilst they dutifully do their part for king and country.
Eventually Timmy and his comrades grow tired of war and yearn for the familiar comforts of home and vie to make it back safely.
As with all VaT shows Till the Boys Come Home will feature some of the most beloved songs of the era such as Keep the Home Fires Burning and It’s a Long Way to Tipperary where audience involvement is encouraged throughout.
Performances will be held on Friday, October 19 at 7.30pm and two on Saturday, October 20, both at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12 each and can be booked by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 07532446665.
