Banbury Young Homelessness Project (BYHP) has launched an exciting Fairport Convention Festival competition and the main prize is, quite literally, Madness.
The Banbury based charity has a healthy relationship with the festival, routinely receiving donations of signed musical instruments from the bands that are then auctioned to raise much needed funds.
This year BYHP have teamed up with Fairport Festival organisers and the ska group Madness to offer the winner of a prize draw, four, three day tickets to the event and the chance to have a meet and greet with the band on August 11.
Madness, one of the biggest bands throughout the 1980s, have long supported homelessness charities and are headlining the festival on Thursday, August 11.
For a chance to win the prize, all you have to do is donate a minimum of £10 before midnight Sunday August 7 and you will be entered into a prize draw.
There are several ways to donate to the charity and get yourselves in the draw. Good old fashioned cheques and postal orders are still accepted and should be made payable to BYHP and sent to their Banbury headquarters at 2 Chandos Close OX16 4TL.
You can also donate via BACS using sort code 40-52-40 and Account Number 00014667, send a text of BYHP01 followed by £10 to 70070, by using Paypal to BYHP(Working with young people) or by visiting www.localgiving.com/charity/byhp.
Organisers ask you to put your name in the reference box where relevant and email your name and contact number to enquiries@BYHP.org.uk so they can contact you should you win.
They are also running a raffle to win a signed fiddle donated by One Man Band for those who can’t make the festival but still want to donate to the charity and be in with a chance to win a one-off prize.
Tickets are just £2 from the above email address or you can call 01295 259442.
