Big names line up for new Mill season

The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury has announced a new season of live events, comedy, concerts and theatre plays starting this September.

Creation Theatre’s must-see Alice an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll will start the festive season with a three week run. It heralds the start of a new partnership with a prestigious local theatre company which adds magic, music, puppetry and acrobatics to Alice’s adventure.

This fall there is no need to travel miles to see some of comedy’s biggest names as The Mill welcomes Jo Brand, Patrick Kielty and Jenny Éclair to its stage.

Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee will also bringing a night of magic and mesmerism to Banbury.

It is the perfect opportunity to see these hugely entertaining personalities live and, as tickets are selling out fast, these are ones that shouldn’t be missed.

The theatre programme offers great adaptations of classical stories which have been produced by highly acclaimed touring companies.

Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw comes to the venue alongside Jane Austen’s Emma.

There will also be Our Friends the Enemy presented by the successful local theatre producer David Adkin promise to be the highlight of the up and coming theatre season for local classic theatre lovers.

The venue has also lined up a feast of music scheduled for the new season.

From the UK’s best tribute acts to Northern Ireland’s folk sweetheart Cara Dillon and local musician Matthew Carter, we have something tailored to everyone.

In September, The Mill also presents a host of innovative, expertly tutored classes and workshops, offering the perfect opportunity to enrol on one of our visual arts courses for those who want to learn a new skill, brush up on their artistic talents or just want to spend some great time in the company of others alike.
