A Banbury based indie-rock band are thrilled to be making their debut on the London stage next month.
Punch Drunk Monkey Club are lined up to play their first gig at Underbelly in Hoxton on Wednesday, July 15.
The band’s reputation has gone from strength to strength since they first formed at school five years ago.
They have frequently played in a number of venues close to home, including The Mill Arts Centre, The Bell (Hobgoblin) in Bicester and at local festival events such as Bloxfest.
More recently, they filmed a live acoustic video with The Couch Sessions in Oxford, covering Nirvana’s song Polly.
The move to the capital city comes shortly after the five piece band were newly signed by a London based agent.
They are also in the process of recording their first EP, which is planned for release later this year.
