Roald Dahl favourite lands in Cropredy
The story tells of James Trotter, a young orphan, who lives with his revolting aunts Spiker and Sponge. His life changes dramatically when some misplaced magic causes a giant peach to grow on the old tree in his aunts’ garden. The peach is inhabited by a colourful collection of oversized insects, who befriend James and set sail in the peach for the adventure of a lifetime.
The play is suffused with Dahl’s darkly witty dialogue and lyrics. It features traditional and original tunes performed by the cast and local musicians.
