Yes it’s real, Fallout 4 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

It is fair to say RPG fans are being spoilt in the next generation of gaming.

The likes of the acclaimed Bloodborne and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt are already tempting gamers to wile away the hours and days playing.

Well now they’re just taking liberties.

That’s because Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 4 is happening and it is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The developer has released the first trailer for its open world, post-apocalyptic game, with more to be revealed at its first-ever E3 press conference this weekend.

The trailer flashes through scenes of the game’s patched-together world, with a few moments hinting at a Boston-area setting. The firm teased the major announcement last week, with images based on previous titles’ loading screens.

Meanwhile, there’s good news for PS4 owners after it was revealed that Sony are planning to launch two improved versions of the world’s best-selling console.

One of the new models is said to be the first that would come with a 1-terabyte hard drive inside – twice the size of the current drive.

With the increasing trend for gamers to buy software digitally, built-in drives can fill up very quickly, particularly given the size of some the the latest triple A titles which can be as big as 40 gigabytes.

Apparently the new PlayStations are different in several other ways too. They are said to be slightly lighter and use less power than the most recent PS4 revisions.

One thing which may grate on gamers, though, is the fact both systems appear to lack support for 5 gigahertz WiFi, for which the calls have been deafening.

The revamped consoles are likely to be revealed at Sony’s E3 event this weekend.
