Now in its fifth year, the choir aims to give experience of professional music making to its twenty-or-so members, all of whom are in the first steps of their careers as choral singers.
Parris said: “We are really going to try and do something different with this mighty oratorio, and work to bring out the dramatic essence that Handel so cleverly injects into this universal narrative, with an emphasis of course on the Easter story.’
Tickets are £15 for adults, £10 for concessions, and free for children. They can be purchased by calling 01295 279002 or visit www.themillartscentre.co.uk.
