Batman’s got new toys as Arkham Knight nears release
The latest entry in the hugely popular franchise is due out on June 23 and will feature a brand new dual play mode.
Rocksteady Studios, the London-based video game developer, has released a new trailer for the action-adventure game which showed off the dual play feature which allows players to seamlessly switch between characters in free-flow combat for the first time.
It is exciting news for fans of Batman as it means players can easily switch between The Dark Knight and his friends like Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman.
As well as facing a brand new villain in the shape of the mysterious Arkham Knight, gamers will also experience another exciting first.
They will finally get to drive the invincible bulletproof Batmobile that has the ability to perform boosts, jumps and burnouts.
Thanks to the new found power of next gen and the already established power of the PC engines, the game world is said to be as much as 20 times bigger than Arkham Asylum and five times the size of the Arkham City setting.
Rumours abound that the Arkham Knight could be Jason Todd or Thomas Wayne but both Warner Bros and Rocksteady are keeping their cards close to their chests.
Arkham Knight will be the fourth game in the critically-acclaimed series, which started with Batman: Arkham Asylum back in 2009.
The new game will have a lot to live up to as Asylum and City both received review scores in the 90s.
Warner Bros has also announced a DLC season pass which promises to deliver new content every month for six months and will cost around £25.
