A live and unique ‘rockumentary’ experience is guaranteed to shake up the music scene over at The Mill Arts Centre later this month.

The Story of Guitar Heroes will enthrall audiences by celebrating and paying tribute to some of the greatest guitar legends of our time.

The brand new show - currently on tour and stopping off at selected destinations across the UK - is presented in a concert format with live performances by top artists.

It will be presented by established musician Phil Walker, who is joined by three other band mates with a whole wealth of knowledge and experience between them.

Taking to the stage with over 20 different guitars, the team strive to accurately capture the sound and ambience of music industry heroes such as Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Cochran and Hank Marvin.

Other guitar legends whose unique sounds will be recreated on the evening include Eric Clapton, Queen’s Brian May, Slash and Joe Satriani.

With their sounds being replicated by some of the UK’s most talented musicians, audiences will be taken on a journey through the decades.

Phil Walker will be joined by fellow guitarists Dan Fraser-Betts, Toby James and accompanied by drummer Kristian Dluzewski.

Their show covers the first official legends from the beginning of the Rock n Roll era in the 1950’s, as well as the most creative and inspirational modern guitar heroes of modern times.

Phil and his band believe there is no other instrument that has been the catalyst for so many new ideas and been at the heart of so many revolutions - not only in music, but also in culture and society.

Whichever genre of music captures your interest, from rock to pop or folk to reggae, they are all united by one common factor: the guitar.

It is a show suitable for all ages and has established a firm appeal to budding musicians and avid music lovers alike.

The Story of Guitar Heroes takes place at The Mill on Saturday, June 20 at 8pm.

The event is standing only and tickets cost £20. For booking details and more information, go to: www.themillartscentre.co.uk or call 01295 279002.
