Alan Wase with Ricky Marsden, Dave Ward and Colin Taylor won 26-12 while Jamie Wilkinson with Brian Ray, Dave Woods and Paul Boffin won 21-14.

Joe Abercrombie with Eric Hilton, John Duncan and Stuart Marsden won 25-15 but Keith Buckle with Martyn Cooper, Pat Noonan and John McGeough lost 14-19.

Banbury Central A beat Shiplake Village 5-1 in division one.

Will Campion with Alan Carter, Jim Gow while Lionel Lewis won 26-8 and Nigel Galletly with John Pardoe, Luke Gilbert and Paul Humphris won 30-15.

Les Campion with Allan Hunt and Mike Andrew won 21-14, reduced to 15.75-14 by the absent player rule. But Ian Whelpton’s rink of Chick Boyd, Mick Miles and Keith McNeil lost 16-25.

Central now move up to third place in the league with two games to play.

Banbury Central A beat Witney Town A on Friday to move into the quarter-finals of the Hawker Cup.

The home rink of Chick Boyd, Mike Andrew, Les Campion and Ian Whelpton won 19-14 and Nigel Galletly’s away rink of Andy Wilkin, Jim Gow and Keith McNeil were 21-17 up after 20 ends when Witney Town conceded.

Bloxham went out of the Hawker Cup after they lost to Middle Barton on Friday.

The Bloxham home team of Ray Hopkins, Doug Woodward, Ron Higgins and Tony Gardner won by six shots.

But the away team of Brian Smith, Norman Hambidge, John Stephens and Dave Morse lost by the same margin.

A further end was played at Bloxham which Middle Barton won by one shot

Banbury Central beat West Witney 69-37 in the West Oxon Ladies Bowls League.

Helen Young with Gill Sharpe, Bev McNeil and Gill Hunt won 24-8.

Carole Galletly with Mo Cox, Eloise Jones and Jane Williams won 23-10 while Pam Shepherd with Annie Gilkes, Myra Lewis and Mel Sykes won 22-19.
