Bulls head to Wadworth 6X South West One East basement boys Salisbury looking to keep the pressure on second-placed Royal Wootton Bassett despite being ten points adrift.

Last weekend’s defeat to the Wiltshire outfit means the play-off spot is out of Bulls’ hands but Goode says his side have to keep grinding out the result, particularly as Wootton Bassett have a tough run-in.

Goode said: “We won’t change much between now and the end of the season.

“We’ve had a lot of injuries and changes but the last two games are ones which we should have won.

“Wootton Bassett have got a really tough run-in which might produce a couple of defeats so we’ve just got to keep performing well and see where it takes us. If you had said at the start of the season we’d still be third at this stage we’ve have taken that.”

As has been the case all season, Bulls will be without several key players for the trip to Salisbury. Justin Parker will be missing following the one-match suspension he was handed following his red card against Oxford Harlequins.

Skipper Ian Isham, Tom Eason, Nick Pratt, James Jennings, Tommy Gray and Duncan Leese are all missing while Ed Berridge and Jacob Mills must overcome knocks sustained against Wootton Bassett and Dan Brady is another doubt.

Goode said: “We’ve done very well, considering the players that retired last season and the young ones that have in this time, they’ve been amazing. To see former Colts come through the system and play great rugby has been very satisfying.”
