Bulls entertain Royal Wootton Bassett in Saturday’s Wadworth 6X South West One East fixture at the DCS Stadium. And it’s one Bulls need to win if they are to pip the Wiltshire outfit for second place in the table.

It’s that play-off spot Bulls are after but they face a side bang in form and trail them by seven points. Bulls ground out a 6-6 draw at Wootton Bassett earlier in the season but this weekend’s clash should provide some more exhilarating rugby than what was on offer back in November.

Bulls go into the crucial game still smarting from Saturday’s semi-final defeat to Oxford Harlequins at the DCS Stadium where an early red card for Justin Parker proved controversial.

Goode said: “It’s important we don’t let that loss affect us and we bring our A-game this weekend. We know they’re a good side, they’ve only lost two games all season.

“They’re very technical and well drilled, they’re going to be really up for it, they want to get promoted just as much as we do. We should have some more players back from injury but the boys who have stepped up recent weeks have been outstanding.”
