Progression is illustrated by manner of Bulls' victory

Head coach James Kerr felt Saturday's victory at Berkswell & Balsall illustrated the progress Banbury Bulls had made in the last few weeks.

The Midlands Two West South leaders maintained their four-point advantage over the chasing pack against a team which inflicted a defeat on Kerr’s side earlier in the campaign.

Kerr said: “The players were at it from the start and it was a much better performance than the week before, especially the manner in which they approached the game.

“It was even in the early stages but I felt we came out deserved winners in the end. The performance wasn’t just an improvement on how we played against them at Bodicote Park but how we have made progression since then in all our games.”

Bulls entertain second from bottom Droitwich on Saturday and Kerr added: “It’s not just against Droitwich that we will be looking for a bonus-point win, that is our target for the remaining eight games.”

Bulls are bidding for glory on three fronts and the following weekend their squad will be tested to the full with a cup double-header.

Bulls entertain Kidderminster in the third round of the RFU Midlands Intermediate Cup and the following day they meet Wallingford in the Oxon Knockout Cup.
