They earned their first victory with a 26 run success in division one.

Tom Hill 24 and Don Patterson 21 helped Newington to 101-6. Hill took 2-23 as Hooky were dismissed for 76 runs despite Tom Rothwell’s 22.

Ruscote beat Great & Little Tew by two wickets.

Tew made 101-6 with Lloyd Brock 55 and Andy Harris 23 top scoring but Imran Hussain 28no saw Ruscote home with five balls to spare.

Banbury beat Shipston-on-Stour by ten runs.

Jack Lamden 18 and Mark Pallett 18 helped Banbury to 105-5 despite Marcus Ireland taking 3-43. Jack Murphy 26no and Harry Dube 26no top scored in Shipston’s reply.

Sandford St Martin beat Cropredy by four wickets.

Cropredy posted 92-5 with Eli Heath 18 top scoring. Jake Walters took 2-43 but Martin Anson 25no and Paul Tanner 20no saw the champions home.
