Bloxham beat Blackbird Leys 81-69 in division four of the Bridle Insurance Oxford & District Bowls League.

Jim Lucas with Norman Hambidge, John Elstob and Alan Jones won 19-16 while Dave Morse with Rob Kearvell, Chris Hall and John Stephens won 23-10.

Ron Higgins with Ray Sopp, Simon Wratten and Alan Miles won 26-19 but Tony Gardner with Brian Smith, Des Jones and Ray Hopkins lost 13-24.

Banbury Central B slipped into the bottom half of division three, losing 99-57 at Chipping Norton.

Bob Joiner with Malcolm Leather, Keith Williams and Tony Lawford lost 14-25 while Jim Pickering with Eric Trinder, Bob Rogers and John Hart lost 8-30.

Tom McKenna with Ed Creed, Brian Collins and John Pardoe lost 16-22 while Bob Wilkins with Ron Cox, Terry Ulph and John Bone lost 19-22.

Adderbury eased their relegation worries in division two with a 97-60 victory over basement boys Bicester.
