Banbury Central B returned to winning form in division four of the Oxford & District Bowls League with an 80-59 victory at Blackbird Leys.

Tom McKenna with Keith Williams, Brian Collins and Chris Williams top scored with a 26-10 win.

Malcolm Leather with Maurice Tombes, Bob Rogers and John Hart won 21-16. Ron Cox with Ron Havard, Graham Tilbury and Eric Knowles narrowly lost 16-17 while Eric Trinder with Ray Puddle, Tony Lawford and Bob Brown lost 17-23.

Banbury Chestnuts beat Witney Town 94-71 in division three.

Brian Ray with Eric Hilton, Ted Smith and Jamie Wilkinson won 22-17 while Derek Ives with Dave Tilley, John Duncan and Alan Wase won 36-13.

Lee Wilkinson with Martyn Cooper, Pat Noonan and Colin Taylor lost 20-22 while Keith Buckle with Dai Evans, Norman Stringer and Jim Denbow lost 16-19.

Bloxham lost 75-72 against Kidlington.

Dave Morse with Des Jones, Chris Hall and Alan Round won 29-17. But John Stephens lost 12-22. Jim Lucas lost 12-14 and Ray Hopkins lost 19-22.

Adderbury lost 84-78 against division two leaders Watlington but moved into second spot by winning on two rinks.

Phil Gladden’s rink of Mick Jelfs, Phil French and Ted Eley won 27-19 while Chris Skidmore Snr with Frank Duty, Malcolm Brown and Pete Griffin finished 17-14 ahead.

Julian Dancer with Nigel Eley, Rod Head and Chris Skidmore Jnr went down 20-21 and Tom Clark with Bryan Ogilvie, Graham Tyrrell and John Radley lost 14-30.
