Adderbury won on four out of six rinks but still lost 119-98 at Witney Town in Saturday’s Green Barney Shield first-leg.
The 21-shot defeat makes the villagers’ bid to win back the shield a tough task.
Terry Hooley with Dave Watson, John Plowman and Pete Griffin won 23-18 while Bryan Ogilvie with Dave Allington, Jan Wilson and Nigel Eley finished 19-15.
Julian Dancer’s rink of Graham Tyrrell, Pete Goodson and Chris Holmes triumphed 20-17 and John Radley with Mick Jelfs, Bill Dowling and John Hermon won 17-14.
But Phil Gladden with Terry Mold, Dave Drinkwater and Phil French went down 7-22 and Cliff Hall’s rink of Dennis Roberts, Eric George and Roger Wilson lost 12-33.
