Longsdon looking forward to seeing Killala Quay step up

Killala Quay will go for the final race on Tuesday’s card, the Close Brothers Novices Handicap Chase.

Killala Quay won last month’s Pendil Novices Chase at Kempton, making it seven wins from 16 starts.

The Hull Farm handler said: “I’m desperate to step Killala Quay up in trip, there are a few question marks because he might be flat out over two and a half miles. But he deserves a crack at the race and he is in extremely good form.

“His race was over before it got started last year. It was a standing start and he got left at the start.”
