Isham, who came through the Colts set-up at Bodicote Park said: “It’s going to be a challenge for us but we are back to the level we feel we should be competing at.

“Having enjoyed a successful season, winning both the league and the cup, we will be going into this season full of confidence.

“With the step up it is going to be a challenge but we will go into matches knowing that if we play to our potential we will be competitive.

“As a squad we have put in a lot of hard work during the summer and we are looking forward to kicking-off the new season at Witney on Saturday. It will be a great opportunity to test ourselves against a team that finished fourth last season, narrowly missing out on the promotion play-offs.

“Moving into the South West division means we will get a few more fixtures against Oxfordshire opponents who we know well having played against many of them over the last few years in the cup.

“Going into the new season, training has been boosted by the return of all the players that were involved last time as well as a few new players joining the club. The feeling in the squad is that we have identified parts of our game we need to develop while continuing to improve the positive aspects of our game from last season.”
