Saturday’s Home Counties Premier Cricket League fixture with Tring Park at Ledwell Road was abandoned. This weekend Tew travel to Burnham where they will still be without their opening attack.

Opening bowlers Matt Woods and Lawrence Brock will be sidelined for a few more weeks but Ashley Hubbert, who played for the second XI last weekend, returns in place of Robbie Catling. Robbie Shurmer is unavailable so Matt Warner steps up while Henry Woodward returns in the second XI.

Harris said: “It’s not ideal having both opening bowlers out at the same time but we just have to hope that we’ve got the depth in the squad to cope with that.

“We don’t know much about Burnham but it will just be good to get in a full game of cricket hopefully.

“We had so much rain the covers could not cope last weekend. Once we got going it looked like being an interesting game until the rain arrived again.”
