The Ledwell Road club are up to fourth in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League following a thrilling victory over Harefield in Saturday’s division one fixture after they chased down a 300-plus total.

Harris said: “It’s one of the highest totals we’ve chased down since I’ve been captain. I’d rather not have to chase a big score like that but now we’ve done it once we can do it again if we need to.

“You always look to your overseas player to have a big influence when he’s out there and Dain Moreton played a crucial role on Saturday. That’s something we’ve not had before.

“We batted really well and the players showed great maturity which was very satisfying.

“We’ve had mixed fortunes against Finchampstead in the past and they’ve strengthened their batting line-up this time. But, again, they are a team we should be looking to beat this season.”

Jordan Garrett and Matt Woods return to the squad for Saturday so Tew are boosted in both departments but Ashley Hubbert is a doubt with an Achiles injury he picked up at Slough.
