Slough are the visitors to Ledwell Road where Tew will be hoping to build on last weekend’s division one victory at Reading.

Harris said: “We’re starting to string some results together and we’ve had a settled side for the last few games. It was good to get our first away win, although we’ve drawn a few, because it was a big game for us against a team down at the bottom.

“Our bowling and fielding was excellent and we did well with the new ball. Joe Thomas is bowling a lot of overs and developing into a fine cricketer.

“We were in a strong position at lunch, with Reading on 56-5, and to restrict them to 149 off 63 overs was a great effort.

“We had to make sure we finished the job when we batted. Jordan Garrett and Dain Moreton formed the crucial partnership to stabilize the innings and both batsmen deserved to make half-centuries.”

Lawrence Brock could be set for a recall after he made his comeback in the second XI last weekend but opening bowler Matt Woods is still sidelined.
