Tew were beaten by six wickets in Saturday’s Home Counties Premier Cricket League fixture at Burnham.

Having elected to bat in the division one fixture, skipper Andy Harris saw side collapse after making a poor start. Tew slumped to 25-5 before Ashley Hubbert and Harry Smith steadied the ship and took them on to 44-6.

But wickets continued to fall without many runs being added once Smith 33 had departed. The visitors were shot out for just 82 runs in the 28th over as Muhammad Haroon took 5-22 and Adnan Shabbir picked up 2-16.

Burnham also struggled in their reply and were reduced to 39-4 before Naseer Ahmed 31no and Rizwan Nadeem 13 saw them home in little over 25 overs.
