Goode out of final but Kerr has good back-up
Goode has been ruled out for the rest of the season, including Wednesday’s Oxon Knockout Cup final against Henley Bulls after he broke his arm in Saturday’s victory over Malvern.
Bulls produced a storming second half display to overcome an interval deficit and take another step towards the Midlands Two West South title with a bonus-point success at Bodicote Park.
Sam Stoop is likely to take over from Goode and Kerr said: “It’s very unfortunate for Matt [Goode], he’s been a big influence this eason. But he will still be involved in the squad.
“But we’re not a one-man team, we’ve got players who can play in several positions and you have to have that fluidity if you are to be successful. Things like this happen during the season but we’ve got great strength in depth to cover for it.”
