Saints made it three Vanarama National League North games without loss following Saturday’s stalemate with Bradford Park Avenue.

Wilkin said: “Coming off the back of two away victories I was hoping we could win the game but Bradford made life difficult for us and there were 47 fouls throughout the game.

“They didn’t registered a worthwhile shot and we needed a little bit of magic to open them up and if we had gone ahead I think we could have gone on to win the game. But it’s something to build on, that’s the first time we’ve gone three games without losing.

“It was disappointing not to score in front of a big crowd but that’s seven points our of nine, it’s another clean sheet and now we go to Stalybridge.

“We have to maintain this form until the end of the season, if we do then I think we will be fine. But I know there are some big games to come.”
